My name is Lorraine Clarke and I am a fully qualified Podiatrist. I am registered with the HCPC and the Royal College of Podiatry.

I qualified in 1992 with a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine then in 1993, I achieved a Masters degree in Podiatry. I then started my Podiatry career and enjoyed every moment of my 25 years in the NHS where I became a Specialist Diabetic Podiatrist. I worked mainly with diabetics with complex needs and high risk conditions, and the complications that they presented. I've become particularly experienced in caring for those with complex needs, especially those with complications of the lower limb and foot which have been caused by diabetes and vascular disease.

I ventured into private practice 4 years ago to share my knowledge and experience with the patients here at my practice. Prevention of problems has now become my focus during your visit to the clinic.

I offer professional care and treatment to people of all ages, and I can assess, diagnose, treat and prevent conditions affecting the feet, as well as alleviating day to day foot problems with routine Chiropody/Podiatry.

I absolutely love feet and can honestly say - even after almost 30 years - that I love Podiatry, and hope that my enthusiasm is felt by all of the patients I treat. You can be assured of receiving a professional, caring and friendly consultation and treatment and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Keeping you on your feet

From simple nail cutting to other specialist treatments I am here to look after your individual needs. Please click on the link below to see what treatments I offer.

Podiatry is the global term for medical practitioners of the feet. Our official title with the HCPC is Chiropodist/Podiatrist as there is no difference between the two professions. Podiatry is the main professional term that has been used for the past few decades and we will normally refer to ourselves as Podiatrists. We carry out all the functions that you would associate with a Chiropodist. Having undergone extensive medical training, we are able to treat a wide range of footcare issues as well as being qualified to administer local anaesthetic and carry out minor surgery where necessary.

During your visit, an assessment will be made. This will involve taking your medical history including medications, doing a full vascular and neurological assessment and discussing your presenting complaint.

A treatment will be undertaken which may include advice regarding footwear, general foot care and self care at home to keep you as comfortable as possible. I am able to liase with your G.P and other health care professionals if necessary regarding any conditions you may have that may need further attention.

We accept cash and all major credit / debit cards.

I am a HCPC member with a unique registration number, so just ask for a receipt and you’ll be able to reclaim part of your treatment costs back.

I (Lorraine Clarke ) am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have completed a degree level (MSc Masters degree) education in Podiatry. I am bound by a professional code of conduct and ethics in the same way as other medical and health professionals. I am committed to lifelong learning and regularly attend Continuing Professional Development events to ensure that I am compliant with the requirements of my profession as well as to ensure that I am providing a high standard of care for my patients.
